As a video games and esports enthusiast, expert, and industry veteran, I couldn’t be more excited about InfoComm 2024 in Las Vegas! This year’s event, the largest ProAV trade show in North America, promises an unparalleled showcase of cutting-edge technology and innovation. As a representative of rAVe [PUBS] and THE rAVe Agency, I’ll be hosting livestreams, participating in panels, conducting interviews, and doing product reviews. Let’s dive into what makes this event a potential game-changer for esports through AV in schools and professional venues.

The Esports Live 2.0 Booth is my top destination, where AV experts will present the latest in collegiate esports technology. Over three days, attendees can immerse themselves in live match play at the Gaming Stage, learn from expert presenters at the Coaches’ Stage, and enjoy play-by-play commentary, interviews, and podcasts at the Shoutcast Stage. The Production Stage will provide an in-depth look at tech, demonstrating how to manage livestreams or record and post content with just a few operators. The Shoutcast Stage will also highlight the broader esports community, showing how to integrate branding and sponsorships. Rocket League tournaments will be held daily, with the championship game on June 14. Esports enthusiast Austin “Austy” Champion will host, bringing his energy and expertise from HyperX Arena Las Vegas.

Spectrum Industries Inc. is set to impress with its ergonomic desks and modular setups, perfect for dynamic and engaging esports arenas where students can thrive academically and competitively. Similarly, Neutrik Americas offers high-impact, scalable connectivity solutions essential for top-tier esports performance, ensuring the best connections with minimal latency and maximum speed.

Crestron Electronics offers integrated tech solutions that streamline operations on university campuses, making esports programs easier to manage and enhancing facilities for both play and academic growth. PTZOptics showcases affordable, broadcast-quality pan, tilt, and zoom cameras for professional-grade content in live events and recorded broadcasts. HARMAN Professional Solutions delivers immersive audio, video, and lighting solutions for unforgettable esports experiences, while AVI-SPL’s digital enablement solutions transform connections, creating dynamic environments for competitive and collaborative activities.

One of the most exciting additions this year is the InfoComm AI Experience. AI is revolutionizing many industries and esports is no exception. This booth will explore AI’s potential in #ProAV, offering insights on integrating AI seamlessly into processes and getting the most out of the latest tools. From personalized coaching tools to enhanced broadcast capabilities, AI is set to transform the esports landscape, and I can’t wait to see these innovations in action.

On Tuesday night, June 11, I’ll have the incredible opportunity to visit the Sphere in Las Vegas for an unforgettable evening. Granted special access to this immersive experience, I’ll not only be entertained by the cutting-edge visuals and sound but also get to create content that captures the magic of this groundbreaking venue. This unique chance allows me to dive deeper into the technology and artistry behind the Sphere, and I may even get the privilege to interview one of the visionaries who helped bring this marvel to life. Stay tuned for exclusive insights and behind-the-scenes looks at one of Las Vegas’s most innovative attractions!
